ZTE Corporation (Zhong Xing Telecommunication Equipments Company Limited) is one of the largest telecommunications (GSM, 3G, WCDMA, CDMA, SDH, ADSL, PSTN) manufacturers and wireless solutions providers in the People's Republic of China<!-- mainland China-->. Its headquarters are in Shenzhen, Guangdong but GSM R&D centers are located in Shanghai and Nanjing, Jiangsu.

ZTE's network products cover data, optical transport, switching, videoconferencing, power supply, monitoring, etc. It provides solutions in narrowband, broadband, wired and wireless products. ZTE operates in mainland China, Bangladesh, Hong Kong <!--Special Administrative Region|SAR-->, the Philippines, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Pakistan, Iran, India, Libya, Benin, Zambia, Tanzania, Angola, Algeria, Tunisia, Russia, Cuba, Argentina and Chile. A PSTN project in Bangladesh was its first overseas project. ZTE undertook ADSL broadband access projects at 16 venues and press centers for the Olympic Games in Athens 2004.
Its financial report is audited by Ernst and Young.

ZTE has established its United States presence since 1998. Currently, It has three offices inside the U.S., with its U.S. headquarters located in Dallas, Texas.

ZTE opened offices in Australia in 2005, looking to expand further outside of China.

On November 2 2005, ZTE was awarded a contract from Viet Nam Railways valued at Vietnamese dong|VND1&nbsp;trillion to upgrade and modernize the railway's railway signal|signal and telecommunications systems. The project, which has been in planning since 2001, includes upgrades on three lines out of Hanoi as well as several junction (rail)|junctions within and around Hanoi.
