1 Introduction
Younger Qiao

Wikipedia

cleanup-date|April 2005

Xiao Qiao (zh-tsp|t=小喬 |s=小乔 |p=Xiǎoqi?o)(lifespan: unknown) was the daughter of Qiao Xuan and together with her older sister Da Qiao, they were known as the two great beauties of ancient China.

Xiao Qiao was wed to Zhou Yu of the Kingdom of Wu during the Three Kingdoms period in China. They had 3 children, Zhou Xun, Zhou Yin and Zhou Ying.

In the novel, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, the two Qiaos were one of the major causes of the Battle at Chibi. Zhuge Liang manipulated Zhou Yu under the guise of advising him of Cao Cao's plot to obtain the Qiao sisters for himself. Enraged, Zhou Yu plotted with Zhuge Liang and Pang Tong to attack Cao Cao.

Cao Cao faced a crushing defeat from a fire attack during the battle and was forced to retreat. The Qiao sisters were never taken from Wu.

In actual history, there is no especial reference to either of them and their appearance in Romance of the Three Kingdoms is mostly fictional. There is no mention of what happened to them after the Battle of Chibi but it is assumed that they both remained in Wu.
