Wulingyuan (Chinese language|Chinese: 武陵源) is a scenic and historic interest area in Hunan, China famous for its approximately 3,100 tall quartzite sandstone pillars, some over 200 meters in height. It is a part of Zhangjiajie city, about 270km from the capital Changsha. Its latitude and longitude are 29??16'-29??24'N, 110??22'-110??41'E. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992.
