During construction of Shanghai Metro/Line|4 part of tunnel that was under construction close to the Huangpu river collapsed. This caused a six story building to collapse and several other buildings in the nearbourhood had to be evacuated. No casualties have been reported, but the incident caused the completion of the metroline to be delayed with almost a year. It has been considered to open the finished part of the line already, so there would be an additional line between Puxi and Pudong already, but it now seems this plan has been abandoned at the whole line will be opened at the same moment.
