Royal Hong Kong Auxiliary Air Force

The Royal Hong Kong Auxiliary Air Force (RHKAAF), was a unit of the RAF, providing aviation services such as search and rescue, air ambulance and firefighting. As a result of the transfer of the sovereignty of Hong Kong|transfer of sovereignty from the United Kingdom to the People's Republic of China in 1997, the unit was disbanded on April 1 1993, with all operations taken over by the Hong Kong Government Flying Service, a newly-created civilian unit.

RHKAAF was based at RAF Sek Kong and RAF Kai Tak.

Role of the RAF in the British Forces Overseas Hong Kong after 1997 was taken over by the People's Liberation Army Air Force.

The equipment and non-local manpower returned to Britain with the RAF after 1997.
