Po Toi Islands

Wikipedia

The Poi To islands (蒲苔群島) are a small group of sparsely inhabited islands (a population of around 200) located south-east of Hong Kong Island, off Stanley, Hong Kong.

The islands are notable for interesting rock formations, and open air seafood restaurants. One of the islands has a haunted house, and some rock carvings supposed to be the epitaph of an emperor who died on or near Po Toi.

Po Toi Islands include:
  • Beaufort Island (螺洲)

  • Po Toi Island (蒲苔島) - 3.69 km²

  • Sung Kong (宋崗)

  • Waglan Island (橫瀾島)

The islands are accessible mostly by private ferry or water taxi. Some scheduled ferries connect Po Toi island with Aberdeen Harbor, Hong Kong|Aberdeen Harbour, Stanley, North Point and Kwun Tong.
