Love Boat

Wikipedia

For the television show, see The Love Boat.

The Overseas Chinese Youth Language Training and Study Tour to the Republic of China is a three month summer program for about 500 college-age overseas Chinese, which is much more commonly known among its participants as the Love Boat. In Chinese it is also colloquially referred to as mei-jia-ying (?????????) - an acronym of United States, Canada, United Kingdom whence most of the participants originate.

The study tour is sponsored by the China Youth Corps, an organization affiliated with the Chinese Nationalist Party (a.k.a. Kuomintang or KMT) of the Republic of China on Taiwan.

The camp's purpose is to teach the participants about Chinese culture and language.
