Inner (lower) trigram is ☴ (:|| 巽 xun4) Ground = (風) wind

Outer (upper) trigram is ☷ (::: 坤 kun1) Field = (地) earth

The trigrams can be read bottom to top as "With cultivation (wind in lower) comes total trust in another/others (earth in upper)"

The Self-Referencing I Ching : using the I Ching to describe itself

The following material is drawn from analysis of the binary sequence of the hexagrams where the hexagrams are derived from recursion of yin/yang and so showing a property of the method - the hexagrams are all linked together and contribute to the expression of, the description of, each hexagram.

The skeletal form of hexagram 46 is described by analogy to the under-exaggerated properties of hexagram 26 where we have a generic focus on holding firm to 'traditional' perspectives (and so a sense of establishing a particular form of harmony/balance - in the binary sequence 26 pairs with hexagram 11). In hexagram 46 there is a sense of getting more entangled with some perspective.
