In the 1950s and 1960s, Ho Man Tin was a resettlement area full of refugees from China.
It is close to Argyle Street and Kowloon Hospital. The area was within the district of the Kowloon City police station.

The proposed MTR Kwun Tong Line extension will have Ho Man Tin Station, and the new terminus will be Whampoa Station.
