Clevo Group

Clevo first was established in October 1983 as a laptop manufacturer in Taiwan, but has diversified into various Information technology|technology interests, including computer peripherals, information appliances, communications and retail development. Today, it has a market capitalisation of approximately US$150 million, and is a public company on the TSE|Taipei Stock Exchange since April 1997.

Corporate Structure
As a business entity, they operate the following main subdivisions:

Clevo - Laptop ODM and All-in-One Computer systems.

Chicony - Computer keyboard|Keyboard and Computer Peripheral supplier.

Hipro - Commercial PSU supplier.

XAVL - Commercial xDSL supplier.

AViTA - Health science|Biomedical manufacturer.

Buynow - Independent Shopping mall|Shopping Centers in China.

Clevo Computing Division
Clevo is a large Taiwanese computer company specialising in laptops. While the Clevo brand name is perhaps not widely known, their products are rebranded and sold by OEM|Original Equipment Manufacturers, including Hypersonic, Sager, Alienware and Prostar.

Established in 1983, as a ODM|Original Design Manufacturer, they resell barebone products ranging from laptop to portable computing solutions for both AMD and Intel processors. Their main laptop range include:

PortaNote - DTR|Desktop Replacement and Multimedia systems.<br>Their top of the range laptop, the http://www.clevo.com.tw/products/D900T.asp Portanote D900T, is probably the world's most fully featured DTR|desktop replacement laptop to date. It features the desktop version of the Intel Pentium 4 processor, support for 2 Optics|optical drives and 2 HDD|hard drives and weighs 12.5 lb (5.7 kg). The http://www.amdboard.com/clevo_d900k.html Portanote D900K, supports the AMD Athlon 64 processor, and is expected to be released in November 2005. The notebook's mainboard chipset will be the VIA K8T890, and the VT8237A southbridge.

MobiNote - Thin and Lightweight systems.<br>The MobiNote notebook range incorporate Intel Centrino technology, in a range of LCD monitor sizes (12.1" to 15") and Pentium-M processors (Banias and Dothan).

TabletNote - Tablet computer systems.

LCD PC - Portable Desktop all-in-one solutions.
