Chuan Leekpai (Thai alphabet|Thai: ชวน หลีกภัย, Chinese Language|Chinese: 川呂沛; pinyin: Chu??n L??p??i; born July 28, 1938 in Trang) was the List of Prime Ministers of Thailand|Prime Minister of Thailand from September 23, 1992 to May 24, 1995 and again from November 9, 1997 to February 9, 2001.

Chuan studied Law from Thammasat University, Bangkok, Thailand.

He has 1 son (Surabot Leekpai) with Pakdiporn Sujaritkul (his outlaw wife).

As the leader of the Democrat Party (Thailand)|Democrat Party, Chuan was elected in 1992 after the abortive coup by General Suchinda Kraprayoon, thus becoming Thailand's first prime minister to come to power without either aristocratic or military backing. He was re-elected in 1997 in the wake of the Asian financial crisis.

Chuan stepped down as the head of the Democrat Party in 2003. He is of Thai Chinese|Chinese descent.

Chuan Leekpai's classic phrase when he faced many Thai reporters about some important issues or urgent issues. Even though they may have been noticed or have already been sent out to him, no action has been taken. This multi-purposed phrase is also frequently used to stop reporters questioning about those issues. This is his all time favourite quote.
