According to legend, this chart was buried in a tomb near Beijing for almost 700 years. The original is now at the Beijing Institute of Science.
By crossing the month a child was conceived with the age of the mother at conception, the sex of the child can be determined.
This chart is said to be 93% accurate.
According to the data presented the following, the greatest odds for conceiving a boy occur when the mother conceives in July when she is 18, 20, 30, and 42.
The best odds for conceiving a girl occur when the mother conceives in April when she is 21, 22, and 29.
According to the chart above, males are 54% more likely to be born than females.

- Both of Mother Conception age and Month of Conception have to be calculated in Chinese Lunar Calendar. Remember that the ancient Chinese doesn't know their grandchildren are going to use another kind of calendar
- Mother Conception Age: it has to be how many years the mother has been or will be in the world since her own birth during the whole conception year.
- Mother Conception Month: After the 25th days of the Chinese Calendar month the chart is not reliable, use the next month instead
